Day Camp Program for Kids Entering 2nd to 5th Grade
As our campers grow older we offer an increasingly flexible program with additional elective periods. Take a peek at our Club Sample Schedule (PDF) for children entering 2nd to 5th grades.
For our Daily Club elective, campers entering 2nd grade participate in our “First Club” which provides an introduction to our elective programming with a diverse selection of activities geared towards their age group. This allows our rising 2nd graders to dip their toes in the elective experience and customize their schedule to their specific interests, whether that be athletics, crafts or activities such as boating, mini golf or rocketry.
Campers entering 3rd grade and older join our “Lower Club” and can choose from among 30 clubs including our athletics and specialties as well as additional choices such as rocketry, macrame, lego, pickleball, storytelling and frisbee golf. Club electives take place Weeks 1 through 7 while alternative special events are scheduled in Week 8.
The rest of our rising 2nd to 5th grade campers’ day is a balanced program of athletics, a dozen specialty activities, and twice daily swimming. One swim period is instructional; the other is a recreational swim.
It’s wonderful that he participates in mature activities that are made simpler for his age group. I am amazed that he really knows how to perform at these activities.
